I Will Not Die Here Today Poem by Max D. Hornbogen

I Will Not Die Here Today

I will not die here today; I still got to hang on to my life.
I got to be alive for my children. Maybe even watch them grow.

But when I look in their eyes, they make me kind of sad.
Oh, what can I do?
These tears will fall like rain, from the clouds above.

Won't someone tell me, what to do?

Do you think I have meaning in my life?

Maybe even take a look in my children's eyes

Can they get rid of my pain, underneath my skin?

So I will not die here today. Can I look into your eye's lord?
Do you think, you could speak with me?

This feeling has now passed, still can't find anywhere to be.
But you know, today is not the day that I die.

Still got to see my children grow and to see what's in their eye's

life gets hard but you have to find your true meaning of why you have to hold on to life even when it gets hard, because what i have learned is the past is hard times always past and your puppose to stay remain the same. just don't let your mind become clouded by judgement when time are hard. good poem.

At last. A poem of hope and spiritual strength. I read about 10 poems in this site today and all were depressing. This has to be the best one I read all day. And yes you will not die today. Hang on there friend. You still have to see your children grow.
