I Was In A Deep Sleep, When You Came Into My Life Poem by Aditi Saxena

I Was In A Deep Sleep, When You Came Into My Life

I was in a deep sleep,

When you came into my life, I couldn’t see it

As dreams can never be alive

My love was innocent, but you had acumen

Though I was an intrepid

I marvel, were you a human?

Wasn’t it enough if I loved you so hard

Wasn’t it enough that my love was from my heart?

You were rude, your love was rough

To forget & to live for me wasn’t that tough?

I abhor you as much as I love, I love you as much as I abhor

I avowed silently, yes… I did a mistake....

I absolved you, but I am an abject

&...

I am a contrite, more contrite

But you still want me to live; you still want me to survive

You were my God, you were my pride

I couldn’t come over it, as it was my unpredictable dive

I tried so hard, couldn’t save it

Because you killed it abashedly, it has to die

I was in a deep sleep, when you came into my life

You still want me to live; you still want me to survive

So I still can live, I still can be alive

But you broke my dreams and you killed my life

I was in a deep sleep; when you came into my life

I was in deep sleep; when he came into my life
