I wanted to say I love you
now for so long
thought I could pour it out
to you in a love song

I wanted you to know
just how I truly feel
how you made me lose control
as my heart I let you steal

I wanted to write you a perfect love poem
to show you deep inside my soul
so you could see what I was about
with love that I touched true

I wanted you to know
how my nights are no longer alone
since you came into my life and dream
and hoped you would stay

My love for you I needed to show
that flowed like an endless stream
with the light you shine each day
