Whatever happened to the simple life
When I was a child
I had no worries
No troubles

Now my life is changing so fast
I cannot keep up with it
Things are coming
Things are going

My mind travels back to a time
Before all my troubles began
All I ask is that
That time can stay forever

But my request has been rejected
So why am I even wishing for it?
Because I don’t want things to change
I want to go back to my old life

Before my life started spinning
And kept on speeding up
But I know that it will only continue
To grow faster before it slows down
