I thought you were the one
to hold me and make me feel
like I was important,
But now I am having second thoughts,
I thought that I might actually have
a chance with you,
But I realized that was just a dream,
I thought maybe, just maybe I
might hear you say that three letter
word everyone wants to hear,
But I knew I would never hear you say it,
I thought that it was possible to end up
with someone as good as you,
But I soon found myself playing a game
I did not want to play,
I guess that's what I get for thinking
you were the one.
