I Thought I Knew Your Trust Poem by Marilyn White

I Thought I Knew Your Trust

All the things you ever promised me
Your dreams that told had us in them
That you wouldn’t live without me by you
Now you turn around and say you don’t
Know if you still care all those things
It is different now that we are apart
You still love me there is no one for you
To seemingly move on to if you wanted
Yet you don’t know if you have the heart to
But you have heart to push me away
Make me want to tell you all that
I have been thinking about maybe
We shouldn’t be for a while space is good
Then something happens I really need you
You really need me it makes me wonder
If there is something above that thinks other
Is there such a thing as a soul mate
Your one true love that you are meant to be with
I thought I believed in you your heart
What pretty lies of love never lost
