I Think Of You When It Rains Poem by Ricky Randall

I Think Of You When It Rains

Watching rainfall from my windowsill
I see the walk we never had
When what could have made me happy
Is enough to drive me mad
And I didn't want a drizzle
I wanted the storm of storms with you
To get soaked and forget what is all but us
With thoughts of very few
Unable to see five feet ahead
We would see all there is to see
I'd kiss you softly on the lips
And you'd place your hands on me
We could dance a dance
A wet romance
To a song that's in my head
The one I listen to
To relive me and you
Because I can't let go of this thread
So what could've been our rain
Instead, is a reminder of the mess
Something I can't bare
Why do I still care?
A stupid love I can't suppress
