I Shouldn'T Poem by Catherine Casey

I Shouldn'T

I shouldn't ever take one
But I'm really glad you asked.
Take them from my presence
As the next one is the last.

You know that funny feeling
When you're focused on the prey?
Time is of the essence
And your feet are made of clay.

More fonder as you linger
And enough to call a sin.
Wishing ever thoughtful
That without was now within.

To take as inspiration
For whatever fills the gap
Setting mind in motion
As the focus is the trap.

To act in haste but centred.
Direction is what matters.
Door or passing fancy
For robes that fit or tatters.
