I Shall Wait For You Poem by Tess Rockenstire

I Shall Wait For You

Lingering here in my doorway
How you left with no goodbyes
My lips not kissed in days.
Wanting for you to –
Pressed –
Yours to mine –
Waiting for summer fall
To touch your curly hair
To see your blooming -smile.
Marred of cinnamon lips,
And dripping with honey sort of kiss.
I shall gather in autumn the fruit of our vines
And decorate our home with pillars;
Of vineyard of grand – design.
Until your homecoming –
Our love nest with rose petals;
It shall wait the marriage of our hearts.
The moon and stars will eclipse,
As we come as one.
