I See Your Face Poem by Brian 'Peza' Perrins

I See Your Face

I close my eyes and see your face
Our bodies touch in found embrace.

I never thought that I would see the day
Your absence would affect me in this way.

Thinking we had a love that would last forever
Displaying a lack of affection wasn’t so clever.

Now that you’ve gone and found another
I realise my failings but still can’t recover.

Thoughts of you coming home linger on you see
To ask for your forgiveness, should this be my plea?

To chase after you now would be so wrong
I need to get on, move forward and be strong.

So I guess that you will never know how I feel
Living life without you, it seems so surreal.

Tomorrow I’ll move on, stop looking back into space
At least till I close my eyes and again see your face.
