I Said No
I guess I'll be here all night
Hailey comes out of the room next door
followed by Rachel
then Nanako
and they try to get me off the computer
and into the bed
but I can't, guys-
you don't understand-
I really can't.
the idea of sleeping
in the same bed
with another girl
is nasty
awful
even though I know nothing will happen
and it's not awkward
because we're friends and all
but still,
I can't
I just can't

And you stick to your guns 'cuz no means N O! And I understand, as in college I played hoops & there was always a lot good spirited horseplay in the mens locker room in terms of comments, not actions, but like you, I just couldn't & didn't get involved, and many times I went back to my dorm to shower in peace! Spledid and inventive poem, Ms. Owl...P.S....I have basically left PF & returned to my roots here on PH...Fantastic people...Poor site...~FjR~
