i got down on my knees
and my father and i prayed
all i want for you right know
is for you to be safe
i want for you to be okay
and know that i still care
i want you to know that even though i'm not around
it's not because i don't want to be there
i kept thinking you didn't need me because you have them
but all along that's not how it's been
if there was anybody that you needed
then i was that one
because i was the only one that would stand by you
and for once in my life not run
all i want is for you to be safe
and as i talk to GOD
i pray that wherever you are
i pray that you're okay
