I, Myself, Me Poem by ellery lim

I, Myself, Me

Needless to say
I’m in dismay
Lost on my way
To find a new day
I sail the seas
I cross the lands
I, myself, me
Never a them
I am hardship, put into one
The deepest of seas
The hottest of suns
Still, I persevered
For the treasure I desired
But lo and behold
The fruits of my labor
The earth withholds
Leaving a dream in a fable.
