I'Mstrangeld Poem by Rashid Meras Pillai

I'Mstrangeld

Rating: 5.0

Strangled I stay,
and estranged, alone I sway.
Life, someone calls it a bliss,
A sensuous kiss,
It is hope, but I don’t care.
Uncertainty, should I gamble my life on hope?
Certainty, I would stride, not grope.

I stayed, lived,
Straight as a line, but grieved.
Fate, someone calls it a reason,
It betrays, still not a treason,
It is destiny, but I don’t care.
Decision, I take, my life do you surrender,
Or you tread your own way, and I wander.

A tryst, a war,
I’ve fought one, so far,
Love, someone calls it a chance,
When the eyes meet, its romance.
It is selfish, but I don’t care.
Chance, is that what life is all about?
Numerous questions and doubt.

I have a song, which I’ve never sung along,
For life’s been busy all long,
Calmness, someone calls it a gift,
But I’ve never had one in this rift.
It is life, but I don’t care.
Though ships are not built for the dock,
Sometimes a clam sea is better than shores of rock.

What’ll I earn, as the wheel turn?
Peace, I yearn.
Death, someone calls it a fragrance,
That takes you to the land of remembrance.
Snatches away everything, but I don’t care.
A search for eternal calmness, sublime,
But I‘m far away from that worthy dime.
