I Met You As I Looked Poem by Edward Kofi Louis

I Met You As I Looked

Jealousy arouses a husband's fury,
But i met you as i looked through the lattice;
And the black and the dark of the night held my peace.
I noticed you immediately because you look like my sister,
And i saw you walking towards my house like my sister;
But time and tide waits for no man and woman on this earth,
And i met you as i looked through the lattice yesterday.
