Yes, my angel, I’m sorry I did you wrong
War songs replaced our once love song
Though we’d been together for years that long
I was the weak one, girl you were strong.

I’ve watched tears cloud your bright, blue eyes
I slapped you daily with dirty, naked lies
I mocked you boldly with my love in disguise
Honey I’m sorry, oh, how time flies.

My pride, you warned me, but I was blind
I felt indispensible, but I had lost my mind
I knew you loved me, you called me your vine
Baby your specie is rare, you’re hard to find.

If I say ‘sorry’, would I be saying enough?
