I'M Listening Poem by Bridget Gabrielle

I'M Listening

Rating: 4.8

Keeping to myself, I look up, and I know exactly where you are
I don't have to look for you
I can close my eyes, and I automatically see you
You're not hard to find. Everyone knows who you are

I know what you wear, how you walk, smell, and even your awkward laugh
I know you better than you think
However, there's something about you I don't know
I'm eager to know your past

What happened?
Will I ever be the lucky one to hear?
You can trust me
You're the puzzle, and I just want to find that one missing piece to you.

This unfolds with a natural narrative ease, drawing the reader in, then trading mild suspense for a satisfying answer, yet leaving the story not fully told. Delightfully written, good poet. :) S

Wonderfully penned, and a thoroughly involving read. Quite a thoughtful piece. Much enjoyed. tfs
