I Love You Poem by Leslie Briggs

I Love You

Rating: 2.7

I stand in the distance staring, hoping to catch your eye, even though I know, imediatly, I'll look away, I know you
I dance with my friends, hoping you'll ask me, and if you did, maybe for once I wouldn't be shy, I like you.
I sit near you, constantly worrying about how I look, try only to impress you, though I know you don't care, I like you.
I laugh near you, we're friends now and you've become so much easier to talk to, I'm crushing.
I sit beside you, our hands almost touching, talking about our futures, and careers, I'm crushing.
I hugged you, you're leaving me behind, for a different school, a different friend, I'll miss you, I think I love you.
I long for you, in desperation to impress you, for you to love me, because, I love you.
