I Love Fire Poem by Loyd C Taylor Sr

I Love Fire

I love fire,
With its embers bright
And the crackling in the night.

I love fire,
When its colors are hot and glowing,
I love the warmth bestowing.

I love fire,
When its light drives out coldness
And its warmth dispels the darkness.

I love fire,
For making smores a tasty treat
And giving comfort to my hands and feet -

I love fire.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
About the poem: In the cool seasons, my wife and I like to go to a favorite restaurant. When entering, the first place my wife heads for is a table near the fireplace. If a table near the fireplace is not available, then while waiting on our meal, we stand warming ourselves while admiring the fire's various colors. We listen to the district crackling and popping sounds. It is one of those things not missed until it is needed but not available. I love fire.I hope you enjoy it.Loyd, the " Simple Poet."
