I Love Books (An Ode To New Ones) Poem by Sophie Allyah

I Love Books (An Ode To New Ones)

A new book for my collection
To kill time and enjoy fully with my imagination
There's a costermonger and small cribs
Sexy mysterious deadly girls
And Hard muscled heroes for me to read
Plunders and terrifying villains bleed
Animal kingdoms with talking dogs indeed
Clueless stray dogs of Asians
And humongous dogs of high breed
Makes me laugh for hours like I was high on weed
A new book means a new sensation
That angels and demons should envy
A new book means there's nothing to worry
Another grinning relish smile to carry
It is additional reason for my life to cherish
I don't care if it's American or British
As long it is a good book and a new one
It is more fun than to hang out or eating a bun
