I Look In The Mirror.... Poem by Shelby L

I look in the mirror and see a girl starring back,
Though the girl I see is not me.
I sit and wonder who she could be,
After a while I have an answer to this mystery.

The girl in front has long brown hair and light blue eyes,
With a secret deep inside.
She smiles and laughs at appropriate times,
Jokes around with family and friends.
Can't shed tears when people are near.

Her secret is thats her outside character.
The real her is stuck inside trying to break free.
People thought she was cool and tough,
Not a worry in the world.
Believe it or not she worries a lot,
Trying to keep her cool.

She wonders if there will be a time,
When the real her will break free from the prison inside.
A time were she can cry in someone's arms,
Instead of her room alone.
Will there ever be such a time? ?
