Grounded Poem by Shelby L

Grounded

Rating: 2.7

Darkness lingers,
With a night calm and cool.
The passengers all wait,
With there things in hand.
Ready to board,
They start to walk.
In the plane is where they are,
Sitting down, feet touching floor.

An hour in the flight,
Something seems a little off.
Then the captain comes on,
States that all should prepare for the worst.
Panic and chaos,
Thats what comes next.

They sit back and prey,
With others around.
Knowing this may not turn,
The right way around.

There ready for the worst,
When they touch that ground.
The plane is in flames,
Its hot all around.

Many did not make it,
That was easy to see.
One brave man though,
Did make it that day.
He walked out of that plane,
With 5 kids behind him the whole way.

Writtin for school. Based on sad and happy.
