I Long For Your Closeness
Lord, I long for your closeness
that arouses wonderful feelings in me.
I long for your arms
that hold, support and carry me.
I long for your eyes
who look at me kindly
and affirm my being.
I long for your tender touch
in awe andmindfulness.
I long for your gentle words
that comfort and inspire me.
I yearn for signs that I can see
that I am worth something
to you and that you love me.
