I'Ll Never Understand Poem by Summer Sandercox

I'Ll Never Understand

Some nights I spend missing you,
Other I spend crying,
Wishing you could help me,
Help me, I am dying.
You've pulled me out of hell before,
Can you please try again,
You've always been so important to me,
We used to be best friends.

The day you died I died too,
I lost a part of my soul,
You were my solid ground,
when My life was out of control.
But I can hear your voice no more,
But every night I pray,
That you will hear my painful cries,
And that I will see you on my judgment day.

When I sit alone and think of you,
I can smell you in the air-
Its like you never left me,
Its like a part of you is still there.
But I know your not coming back,
No matter how much I may hope,
I just don't know how to stop this pain,
I don't know how to cope.

Sometimes I see you late at night,
Looking in my eyes,
I wonder if you feel me breaking,
Or if you just see my disguise.
I wonder why you went overseas,
Why you decided to go away,
I don't know why that Iraqi shot you,
And took your life away.

I guess I'll never know,
But you know I will try,
To understand and figure out,
Just why you had to die.
