I'll Never Say Goodbye Poem by Seema Jayaraman

I'll Never Say Goodbye

I'm afraid to close my eyes tonight,
lest I loose my grip on today,
which held yo and n me alive,
albeit in different parts
of the world, connected
by hearts, cords of love
by invisible threads of
unconscious thoughts, as long
as you and I breathed now
it didn't matter how far we met last
Knowing you choose to soar
up in the blue skies,
filled me with pride
Playing hide n seek always
with your friends was
Your favorite game
the most notorious,
tomboy elite in our gang
Lady pilot, queen of blue skies
Mistress of silver wings
You played the same chance
with life and death
as you flew in those
treacherous terrains
it's not yet time to say goodbye,
You know I will never say goodbye
No matter hw far u choose to fly
