I Like The Quiet Achievers Poem by Francis Duggan

I Like The Quiet Achievers

Rating: 0.5

Before the baby learns to walk the baby has to crawl
And life's a learning process that goes for one and all
And every day we live to see we learn something new
And credit should be given where credit it is due.

Each of us is born with some gift whatever that gift might be
And there's more to any person far more than the eyes can see
If you can't judge the book by the cover the person is like the book
You may have powerful vision but into one's soul you cannot look.

I like the quiet achievers who live in their own quiet way
How good they are at what they do you never hear them say
'Tis true that empty vessels always make the most of noise
We all are growing older but we all are not growing wise.

That we all are born with some gift only happens to be true
But great as you are at anything there's always one greater than you
In the sort of life we do live most of us have a choice
And for any wrongs we do to others in karma we pay the price.
