I Lay On The Cold Floor, Feeling Nothing New Poem by Brad Purvis

I Lay On The Cold Floor, Feeling Nothing New

I lay on the cold floor, feeling nothing new
A normal embrace of nothingness overcomes me
A frightful thought comes to mind
Im not on the floor
Im in the shower, under the water
Dying, I cannot move
My last breath i whisper your name
As those words leaves the tip of my lips
I get woken up. pulled back into this world
Seeing you above me, with your perfect smile
To only relise its a dream again.
When will this torment end?
