I Keep My Silence, I Think You Are Simply Seeing What We Really Are. Poem by RIC BASTASA

I Keep My Silence, I Think You Are Simply Seeing What We Really Are.

perhaps i have visited this
island for six times, and now
it is still amazing, white sands,
cool coconut trees, colored pebbles,
fresh air, emerald waters,

this is the second time with you
and there you are lying on the sand
without your hats and sunglasses on.

complaining, there is so much heat
and you do not like it, the sea is
getting polluted, food is boring and
the sound of the waves sonorous,

i keep my silence, i think you are
simply seeing what we really are.
and i am so worried about tomorrow.
