I Hope Poem by Poetic Philosopher

Baby you were pretty at the door
During morning lights at four
Leaving me totally speechless
And as a preacher I was preach less

When all I could think of was getting your number
Because if I didn’t I would have went into a deep slumber
Now that I have thought I was in a desert imaging an oasis
For my phone was burning up from calling you on an everyday basis

But that’s what happens when you fall in love
You’re as graceful as a beautiful dove
With no fear of leaving heartbreak way behind
Because there’s always a second chance to press rewind

So as I love you from every inch of my heart
For we can always handle being together and apart
When as long as we have each other we’ll never be alone
Even when time only permits us to talk on the phone

So if eternity is what I have to endure or wait
Then I hope my time wasn’t too late
While I try to start a life in any possible way
Hoping that luck is with me on this ordinary day

But hey you’re the only one that can extinguish my time
For you’re the gods of judgment on this rhyme
Because im one of the few who means it when they say I love you
And we both know that there are only a very few
