I Was A Victim Of Bullying Poem by Poetic Philosopher

I Was A Victim Of Bullying

Today's the first day
And I thought things would go my way
Yet little did I know, that I was the show
I couldn't think, my mind began to overflow
Anger, frustration, sadness and confusion
I told myself it was all just an illusion
Stand strong and you will see the light
That will illuminate and be your guide through the night
But the onslaught of words didn't stop
Writhing in my distraught
I felt hopeless and completely lost
I was a victim of verbal bullying
From things like 'Terrorist' to 'Outcast'
To 'Nerd' to 'Trailer Trash'
It felt as if their words were ruling me
For one whole year
I was plagued with constant fear
But then one day their words turned to letters
And I was able to weather the storm better
Started to make some friends
I thought the bullying was at its end
But then came the rumors and gossips
Spreading faster then a launching rocket
Before I knew it I was a closet gay
And the worst began replay
Pushed, shoved and beat like child's toy
Always asking myself what did I do to a whipping boy
Did I do wrong, Did I steal, or Did I misbehave
Or is it because their white man and I'm slave
And they can constantly hustled me for money
Forcing to give as if I was the Easter Bunny
Cause bloody agony is all that awaited me if I resisted
And when those I trusted so called friends drifted
I couldn't take it anymore, to me the only answer was suicide
The pain wouldnt subside, so it was time to say goodbye
Write a letter stating why it was better to die then stay alive
You see my soul's been beaten, its been shattered
My heart's been fractured and scattered
I don't see a light at the end of the tunnel
So tired, I just wanna end this useless struggle
For all I ever wanted to be was happy, and to smile
And to have days worth while
To see the sun shine in the sky
To hear joy and laughter pass me by
