I Have Become A Poem

I HAVE BECOME A POEM

I have become a poem
And all I say and think
Is read in me
As poetry.

All connects to lines of others.
Read through a lifetime of reading poetry,
and all it means,
all the questions and implications,
resounding in me now
at all
The Poet I am not
And never will be.

I agree with Marvin, but for the poet who writes her poetry everyday, does become the poem, because the words are dictated by the soul that tells the mind that tells us to write it. Our words are deep inside of us, and when we think of a poem to write, the words have already been there waiting to come out and be seen. You have wrtten this very well, and it has a deep message for the reader. Don't just write, but be what you write. Very true. I am giving you a 10 for this. Thank you for sharing. Hugs, Barbara

You are right, a poet becomes a poem the moment he composes it with all his heart and passion! The poem speaks the kind of poet that writes it!
