I Found The Diamonds Poem by Barry Middleton

I Found The Diamonds

I found the diamonds in the sky
the gold of the sacred sunrise
the tenderness of a lover's touch
the wonder of the mountain peak

yes there were the darker nights
tears and doubt and fears
yet looking back upon the years
regret is but a waste of time

I found the scarlet gem of sunset
the turquoise tropic waters
the breeze in silver palms
the treasure of a peaceful dream
