I Doubt Poem by Gary Dobbs Morgan

I Doubt

Rating: 0.5

I doubt
the news
coming from everywhere,
when i am not everywhere.
why should i believe that
there were wmd's,
that i am hated,
that we are doing good for all,
when i am not there to see it.
why should i believe that
your motives are pure
that your motives are good
that your motives are for the good of me
that your motives are not just pure greed
that your motives are not for your gain,
when i am not there to see the bottom line.
you represent a country
you do not represent me
you are transient and that is where we are similar
today we both are here,
you want to represent me?
represent me based on good
not evil.
