I Dont Mind Poem by Roshana Phillips

I Dont Mind

Neighbors, Friends and family,
I don't mind
Though you may cast me down;
Thinking that there is no one around.
I don't mind,
You caressing me with pain,
And you wanting to erase my purpose and aim.
I don't mind.

Thrown in the dark;
As all my spark dim off.
I don't mind,
Wiped on memory,
Drilled in energy
I don't mind.

I don't mind!
You trying to brain wash me,
Covering my eyes so that I cannot see.
That instead of refusing pain
I should be overcoming them all.
When I fall,
Is when I'm going to stand tall.

I don't mind,
You beating me down to the dust,
Even those that I had really trust.
I don't mind
Because I know I know Christ is with me.
I don't even mind not knowing
Why all these pain and stronghold,
Because I know with Christ
I will conquer all
So neighbors, friends and family
I just don't mind
Bring it on
I am here to shone.
