Just a beep on the other line

Just because you’re avoiding mine
You used to call me, with so much pleasure
Loved to hear the sound of my voice
Now you’re treating her so much better
Leaving me with such a choice…
I didn’t want to believe it
Thought I was special in your eyes
Until the moment, I was forced to see it

When I went hanging out with some friends
Only saw you by surprise (echo)
Confused I held my arms out for you to jump in
Then I saw her catch your eye (eye)

I didn’t want to think nothing of it
