I'D Rather Poem by Godfrey Machuka

I'D Rather

I'd rather a heart of stone
And survive this mega pain
O how better to be a clawn!
And find refuge from your loveless reign

I'd rather have met a statue
And adapted to its cold mien
Than a curt princess thats you
Who hurts me again and again

I'd rather I was a door mat
To be wiped on by dirty feet
Than on my shoulder that little pat
That lies to me I am fit

I'd rather I was born blind
And seen darkness all my life
Than be there for your kind
Who ignore to see love despite the strife

I'd rather save my time
Than to say anything about you
For it won't be any crime
Than the heartless things to me you do.
