I caught a silver lining
In a cloudy darkened sky
At first so unexpected
But it made me wonder why
No sense of its departure
From a deep and saddened gloom
Like a piece of deep depression
In a cold and dampened room
No path of doubt to walk upon
As spirits filled the air
And though I felt accompanied
In truth, she was not there
I left that silver lining
As I found it in that cloud
And she wrapped her arms around me
Like a lovers passing shroud
