the blackness fades away again
I'm left here, standing dead
in space and time I walk a fine line
as I write all over these walls forever
I'm unraveled but not undone
I can still fill light running from my love

there's still some time to wait
maybe tomorrow brings better days..

this life you've given us was a beautiful gift
but day after day we fail to see your love
the blood running freely from your hands
by the grace of God i'm still free

I've trashed you
compressed you
tied you into who I wished you were
I've hated you
debated you
and always come up short
how many days will I keep up this game
I've always engulfed, ignored
and the exhaled the shame
it's not these things that I've taken in
it's these things that have taken in me
and I can't seem to get away...
