I Can'T Help It. Poem by Kayla Bryant

I Can'T Help It.

I don't know what to think,
But I'll be okay.
Your words confuse me,
But I'd pick yours over his any day.
Everywhere I look,
I can't help but see your face,
and every night,
I can't stop dreaming of your embrace.

Oh it's crazy,
such a feeling inside,
can't explain it but,
It's a bumpy ride.
Potholes and cracks in the road,
but I'm walking it in spite of the freezing cold,
I can't help myself, I can't help but love you.

When you love him so hard,
and he ends it all,
you judge everyone else,
based on how hard he made you fall.
It's all the same,
that's what they say.
But when it comes to you,
you take my breath away.

It's crazy how close a person can feel,
to someone who makes life seem unreal.
It's easy to climb the mountain,
but it's hard when you fall; to get back up again,
Gotta get over it, gotta keep trying,
what are you proving with all this crying,
I can't help myself, I can't help but love you.

Black tears run down my face,
I'm falling down so hard.
Then things click into place,
I can't go back now, I've come too far.
Can you hear my heart breaking?
Feel my hand shaking,
I can't help myself, I can't help but love you.
