God Poem by Kayla Bryant

God

I found God,
while I was lying on the floor.
Not wanting much more than to be dead,
having nothing to even live for.
Where were you,
when I needed someone to lean on,
where were you,
when I needed someone to depend on.
You were there, right in front of my eyes,
I just didn't see,
the devil has a good disguise.
I see him everyday in people everywhere.
but I know your out there somewhere.
I don't mean to be a pessimist,
but what else can be done?
The way the world is today,
The devil won't spare ANYONE.
I cry when I see the bad in people,
and why does this happen to me?
Because You were there all along,
wanting me to learn something.
I have doubts, and always will,
but you'll remain the same.
You were there all along,
when I thought life was a stupid game.
I often think surviving is simply a miracle,
but your the hope I'm holding to,
and when I want to just let go and give up,
I remember, I always have you.
