I am the one that stood by your side
I watched over you and held you as you cried
I am the one you turned to when things werent going right
Throwing all of your problems far out of sight
I am the one you looked for
When your hopes went out the door
I am the one that helped you get them back
I chased them down and I kept track
I am the one whos name you screamed
I am the one that told you it wasnt as bad as it seemed
But you are the one that makes everything right
You are the one who wills me as I fight
My scars have no reason without you
Because a best friend will always stay true
You are the reason I must go on
When you are here my worries are gone
I helped you as you helped me
We are as close as close can be
