I Am Real Poem by miss liss

I Am Real

Look at me, I am real,
I have pain that I can feel.
Every hurt, every ache,
Makes me bend until I break.

I can love, I can think,
I can smile and I can wink.
I have eyes so I can see,
What it is you do to me.

Acting like I’m nothing at all,
Saying anything just to make me fall.
With sarcasm, whit, and charm
You caused me the greatest harm.

You don’t care about who I am,
About my feelings, you don’t give a damn.
To you, getting girls is just a game,
Getting me will be your latest fame.

I feel cheap, I feel used,
You made me lost and confused.
I can’t think, I can’t speak,
You made me insecure and weak.

You turned my world upside down,
You left me nothing but a frown.
I believed what you would say,
I thought that you would stay.

You set me up for defeat,
Made me feel like a piece of meat.
Used me to let your hunger feed,
To satisfy your every need.

Holding back the truth, being a liar,
Controlled by your selfish desire.
What you want from me is not clear,
It’s too dangerous to keep you near.

I’m not just a thing
I don’t want to be a fling.
My feelings matter,
They can easily shatter.

I need to be protected,
My walls must be erected.
I can’t play your game,
Or I’ll never be the same.

I’m only human; I have flaws,
I don’t want you to be the cause.
Before I’m in too deep, I’ll let you go,
So thanks for putting on a show.

You must have quite some nerve,
To give me less than I deserve.
Your time is up, I’m moving on,
Choose someone else to play your pawn.
