Water of Ganges is pure undoubtedly but when flood water of Ganges overflows its banks and is filled in pits which are away from the river and the water of the pits separated from the main course, this water considered defiled wine and dirty, several germs ad insects are born in it and cause diseases. When it again mixed with the main stream of the Ganges, its impurity, limtedness and unholuness go away
