I Am Jest Cold And Numb Poem by Edwin Tanguma

I Am Jest Cold And Numb

Rating: 3.5

I Am Jest Cold And Numb

I long to be young again
So that I might run through the hills
With my pick and pan in hand
Seeking unforgettable thrills

I will always remember
The first time that I found gold
‘Twas when I was much younger
And my heart was oh so bold

I happened to find platinum once
It was merely by a chance of fate
I even cast some into the water
Like chum I used it as bait

Could I have even found diamond
I’ll let ya’ll decide
I’ll not blow smoke up you’re rears
Its something that’s hard to hide

I think it is known as
The Manhattan Lycos White
Of course I could be mistaken
When I found it, it was almost night

I found it near Daisy’s old place
Could it possibly be a certain Fuentes
I wonder who discovered her
Some of you might say, “No Mientes”

That was so, so long ago
When I was young and dumb
Now that I am so much older
I am jest cold and numb

P.s. Is the 'Uncle Sam Diamond' really the largest diamond ever found in the U.S.A.? ? ?
