I am not here
I am gone away
Beyond the pale of the sunset sky
Beyond the rays of the sunlit dawn
I am gone away

I waited long
Until my feet were two blocks of stone
Until my eyes were a cobweb’s home
I waited in silence
I waited too long

And now you came
Don’t seek to find my shyful smile
Don’t seek to hear my joyful voice
Never wish to hold my hands in play
For I am not here, I am gone away

I found no way
To say goodbye
I found no way
To leave a note
But if you will try
You may find
My eyes that wait while I am gone away …..
