Great Spirit, I am alive
my heart beats to distant drums
my feet dance to ancient steps
and my soul sings with joy

Great Spirit, You are the One
the One who has blessed my life
with hunger for knowledge
with thirst for happiness

Great Spirit, I ask you for strength
to enjoy life
to live life
and to laugh

Great Spirit, I say I love you
with every fiber of my being
with every tear that falls
and with every joy that comes into my life

Great Spirit, you are the only one I need
to make my journey easier
to help me give others encouragement
to help me keep the old ways alive

Praise be to you, Great Spirit
