I Am A Woman Poem by Thembi ngadlela

I Am A Woman

I am a woman
I am a woman yes!
I cry when am hurt,
But that's not a sign of weakness
I let you get away with things,
Oh that don't mean am a push over

I come in shapes and sizes,
Not for you to judge n rate me in scales and. Mock my image,
'Cause the true beauty lies within me,
My uniqueness is beyond skin deep

Am stronger than I profess
Am wiser than you assume
Yes am a women
My strength is deeper than my tears

I may have broad shoulders,
For you to cry on them at your time of need,
My wide hips, catered to carry Gods precious gifts,
Big chest and double breasted
Oh dear it's precious what lies beneath there,
This heart has a lot to bare so cushioning is most high priority
A nation to feed, 'cause what is stored there can't be hidden for ever

If I may take your word in things you say,
And never question you when you're lying over and over, am not naive, nor stupid
Am only assessing 'cause that's a woman for you

I am a woman yes!
I cry when am hurt,
But that's not a sign of weakness
I let you get away with things,
Oh that don't mean am a push over

I come in shapes and sizes,
Not for you to judge n rate me in scales and. Mock my image,
'Cause the true beauty lies within me,
My uniqueness is beyond skin deep
