I'm a fighter,
I'm a writer,
In a far away land
I'm trying hard here, making my last stand.
I'm a dreamer, dreaming deep,
I'm making a promise that I'll keep.

Will you know me as I am?
Will you remember your soldier man?
Will I be different with a far away stare?
Will I open my heart to share?

I'm just a soldier man,
I'm doing the best I can,
I'm trying hard to adjust,
I'm gonna need your trust.

Will I be stable?
Will I sleep at night?
Will I be able to forget this fight?
Will I surrender all my fears?
Will I? Will I? After all these years.
