Hydrosolophil Poem by Gen Smith

Hydrosolophil

Rating: 5.0

Wake up breathing
I'm here even though
You think I’m not
I’ll be there soon
The darkness will
Return to light

The rain may fall
Down on your head
And yeah you want to
Go back to bed
Just remember what your
Doing here in the first place.

Nobody else can see the tears
And nobody else can see the hurt
It may kill inside
And you want to give up but
They don’t know
Unless you show them

The light will shine down on you
Flooding you from head to toe
It’s closing in on you
But you push it behind you
And the love that you have
For them really shows

So 10 years from then
You’re lying in bed
You wake up breathing
But now you don’t question
You know that I’m here
All because you blew them away.

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

Beautiful Penning, Gen...Stellar imagework...Crisp, tight & mellifluous structuring... I like the amorphous tone you set...and complimenting poetic elocution.Solid Work FjR
