Hurry Home Poem by Joyce Hemsley

Hurry Home

Rating: 5.0

Two lives are full of misery
Nothing is the same
Since you left him all alone
In love's precarious game.
No-one there beside him,
No-one to see him through
Oh how I wish you'd see the light
Hurry home, the year is new.

Does he have to plead and beg?
Words are hard to find!
You were all he longed for.
The wedding vows he signed.
With you the season's springtime
Without you, days are blue
Oh how I wish love would unite
Hurry home, for he loves you.
